Dating from the first year of nationalized British Railways, it is very rare for these small posters, designed to be pasted up on small boards at stations or displayed in glass cases, to survive in good condition. Both the branch lines shown here would close within two or three years. This item has been scanned to a very high resolution and if downloaded to a memory stick, a local print shop will be able to produce a full-sized facsimile.
